At Ferreol, skiing is more than a sport. It's a playground for innovation, a source of raw pleasure, and a pretext for creating better things.
Born in Quebec, our brand is driven by a simple vision: to offer local skiers skis that are as powerful as they are intelligent , designed to perform in real life , while respecting the nature that inspires us.
Ferreol is not just a product: it is a declaration of independence, a way of doing things differently — with rigor, with heart.
Three founders, one shared vision
It all started at Laval University, within a mechanical engineering cohort.
Jonathan, Étienne and Félix met there, discovered a shared passion for skiing — and above all, an observation: the skis on the market did not meet the real expectations of skiers .
Too little consideration for the environment.
Too many compromises between pleasure, performance and versatility.
Too much distance between the designer and the user.
So they decide to do it differently.
In 2019, Ferreol was born. First in a garage, then in a back room, and finally in an innovation lab at Mont-Sainte-Anne. Each ski is designed, tested, and refined there—before being manufactured in Rimouski , using local materials and clean energy.
The environment at the heart of the design
At Ferreol, eco-design isn't a marketing ploy —it's a founding pillar. From the very first pair, we've incorporated technological choices that reduce our skis' impact on the planet without compromising their performance.
A ski designed down to the smallest detail
What sets Ferreol apart isn't just what we do—it's how we do it.
In our own R&D center, we develop each prototype by controlling every variable : camber, rigidity, geometry, materials, flexion… Everything is measured, analyzed, adjusted. And tested, again and again, in the field .
This rigor is what allows us to deliver a lively, playful, reliable ski that follows you everywhere - from light gliding in the undergrowth to muscular carving on hard snow.
